30 computer-playing students rounded up
Cops also seize computers, haul up proprietor of cyber cafe
KUCHING: Thirty primary and secondary school students who were patronising a cyber cafe at Kenyalang Park here on Monday evening were rounded up by police.The students, all of them boys, were playing computer games and were caught by surprise when the raiding party from the Anti Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism unit (D7) swooped on them around 5pm.The primary school students were still in their school uniforms while the secondary school students were in casual wear.Besides detaining the boys, the police also seized computers and other equipment from the cyber cafe and hauled up the proprietor for further questioning.The students were taken to the police station where they had their particulars and statements recorded before being released into the custody of their parents.
